Founded in 1896 and extended to 18 holes in 1976, Turriff is one of the most highly-regarded inland courses in the north-east of Scotland.

It is laid out on the banks of the River Deveron and measures a smidge over 6,000 yards, with the par-4s undoubtedly the star of the show.

The pick of the bunch is arguably the seventh which, at more than 440 yards, is one of the longest and toughest par-4s in the region. A special mention, too, for the par-3 fourth. Only 141 yards from tee to green, it more than lives up to its name - 'Wee Devil'.

A tremendous course that keeps getting better, Turriff is terrific fun.
