Auchterarder Golf Club is home to a fantastic parkland 18 hole golf course. Having opened in 1979, the current Perthshire course is one of the best layouts in the Perthshire region, with heavily wooded surroundings making it a challenge.
The course runs alongside the world famous PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, the host of the 2014 Ryder Cup. It also has views to the surrounding Glendevon hills.
Auchterarder isn't nearly as long as its illustrious neighbour, with yardage of 5,800 yards, but it is still tricky. It has six par-3s, with the 16th, the longest of them reaching 235 yards. If you can get out of here with a par you've done well.
Perthshire is home to several great layouts and Auchterarder is certainly one of them.
