One of the oldest courses in the world, golf has been played on the North Inch for more than 500 years.
The course as we know it today - a pleasant parkland which runs along the River Tay in the Georgian town of Perth - was laid out by Old Tom Morris, originally as a six-hole circuit, then nine, 12, and 18.
North Inch is a course that is perhaps best described as "interesting", with plenty to keep you on your toes - not least the river, which comes into play on several holes.
Aside from the enjoyable course, North Inch also offers free green fees to any juniors playing alongside a paying adult, while free club hire is available for all. Now that's growing the game.
