While not quite a par-3 course, there are six of them on the short Balgove course which stretches to just 1,520 yards.
With three par-4s - maxing out at 220, 219 and 298 yards respectively - this track, situated directly behind the St Andrews Academy and alongside the Strathtyrum course, is very much designed with beginner and junior golfers in mind.
Opened in 1972, the Balgove has undergone various redevelopments, but it was in 1993 when it was given a new lease of life and is now kept to a similar standard to the Trust's other courses.
