St. Mellion Estate

St Mellion, Saltash Cornwall, PL12 6SD

St Mellion Estate is possibly the best golf break destination in the South West of England boasting two 18-hole golf courses and has also hosted the European Tour with winners like Seve Ballesteros, Bernard Langer and Jose Maria Olazabal having graced these fairways. St Mellion Estate is located on the outskirts of the spectacular Tamar Valley and is less than a 30-minute drive to Plymouth where you can enjoy many local attractions. The Nicklaus Course designed by 18-time major winner Jack Nicklaus himself was his first UK project and the man himself stated this is possible the finest golf course in Europe. A par 71 measuring 7008 yards from the Championship tees makes this a true test and there is also a good option of tees for all levels to enjoy playing from. Next door to this you have the Kernow Course which was formerly known as the Old Course. A par 70 measuring 5606 yards from the back tees makes this not the longest but still a fantastic championship course in its own right. While being surrounded by stunning scenery you can navigate your way around the new lakes and bunkers that have been recently added along with some of the new totally revamped putting surfaces. Whether you're a scratch player or take a more light hearted approach to the game, your time here will definitely be above par.
