Fort Augustus Golf Club is home to a nine hole course on the banks of the Caledonian Canal near Loch Ness.
Although it's only home to nine greens, this course has 18 tee boxes, meaning it can be played twice, with each hole taking a different feel. It's a traditional heathland course and is certainly a challenge, with thick gorse and heather lining the narrow fairways.
One of the main appeals of this course is the scenery, with the Caledonian Canal offering a stunning backdrop to the course. The clubhouse is small but welcoming and the perfect place to relax after a round at this north of Scotland venue.
