Airdrie Golf Club is situated just off the Glenmavis road in a peaceful setting. At just over 6,000 yards, by modern standards the course isn't a long test, but it keeps you on your toes in other ways.
The opening hole is a short par-4 but it certainly isn't easy. With a small green cut into a corner of the course, you need to be accurate here or you could find yourself getting off to a difficult start.
Towards the end of the round, the 17th is a brilliant driving hole. A par-4 measuring around 450 yards, it requires a right-to-left ball flight, but don't overdo it, as out of bounds runs all the way beside the hole.
The final hole is a tough, uphill, long, par-3 that takes you back to the clubhouse. It's a clubhouse with excellent views over what is a great test of golf near Glasgow.
