Housed just outside the home of golf, St Andrews Fairmont Golf Resort and Spa has utilised the best of the land it sits on to create a truly wonderful, cliff-top links experience. Only a couple of miles south of the historic Auld Grey Toon this resort exhibits two fine courses, the Torrance and the Kittocks.
The Kittocks course is a tough test of championship golf, which has recently tested some of the best players in Europe.
The course starts with a fairly straightforward par-5, but that's probably the best chance at a birdie on this course.
Things get very tough when you turn for home at the 13th hole, a long par-3. After that, any shots that miss to the right are likely to end up in rough or lost.
A great test of golf, with some stunning views, this isn't a course to be taken lightly.
