2. Lee Janzen – 1998 NEC Invitational
During the 1998 NEC Invitational, Lee Janzen’s putt refused to drop despite being on the edge of the cup. After he and Vijay Singh examined it, the ball finally went in. As a result, he signed for a birdie but viewers phoned in to say Janzen had fallen foul of Rule 16-2, which gives players only ten seconds to judge whether a ball is at rest. As a result, he was disqualified.
