The PGA Tour returns to TPC Craig Ranch in Texas – but this time with a new name.

The long-standing Dallas event formerly known as the AT&T Bryon Nelson has now been renamed The CJ Cup Bryon Nelson.

The CJ Group sponsors have been big supporters of the PGA Tour, staging the CJ Cup in the United States from 2020-2022, with Rory McIlroy a two-time winner of that event.

Former world No.1 Jason Day won this tournament last year, shooting a stunning nine-under 62 on the final day to claim his first PGA Tour title in five years.

The Australian star will be back to defend his title this year, but will face competition from the likes of Jordan Spieth, Will Zalatoris, Min Woo Lee and Tom Kim.

Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre is in the field at TPC Craig Ranch as the Ryder Cup hero looks to build momentum in his first season on the PGA Tour.

And there will be plenty of eyes on Kris Kim, the 16-year-old English amateur who has swapped GCSE revision to make his PGA Tour debut this week.

The bunkered bet

Tom Kim 28/1

Two of Kim’s victories have come on desert courses and a field that is not bursting with quality will give the South Korean star some optimism here. He finished 17th on his debut round this Texas track and showed that he is striking it well with a T18 finish in his last outing at the RBC Heritage.
