The latest issue of bunkered is hitting the shelves today!

If you’re a subscriber, you’ll be in for a treat this month, as issue 201 of bunkered will be finding its way to you. If you’re not, then you should definitely be heading to the shops and picking it up. This issue, we decided to focus on how you can be a better driver of the golf ball. If you’re looking to hear from some of the best in the pro game about how they do it, and get some top tips from our Performance Panel, you’ve come to the right place.

Here’s some of the things you can expect to find.

Min Woo Lee

The Aussie star is rising through the ranks this year, and made a big impression at the PLAYERS Championship, where he played in the final group. Min Woo isn’t the biggest guy on the PGA Tour, but he is certainly one of the longest off the tee, so we quizzed him on how he gets the most out of his game, and how you can be sneaky long too.

Hit better drives!

Don’t say we don’t try to help your game. With the golf season upon us, we all want to know how to lower our scores, and one of the best ways to do that is to hit better tee shots. That’s why we went to see Steve Johnston and Ailsa Murphy from our Performance Panel, who gave us some easy ways for you to hit more bombs.

What the…?!

Golf is a strange game at times. We’re not talking about getting weird lies in bunkers or putts lipping out, we’re talking about moments that leave you pondering… “what the…?!” We managed to narrow it down to 20 of those, and listed them. Spoiler: you’ll read about Rory Sabbatini and Tommy Gainey.

Tips from the tour

We sought advice from one of the best drivers of the ball on the LPGA Tour, Emily Pedersen. She explains how she’s leading this year’s driving distance stat on the LPGA, and how you can try and keep up with her.

First and Last

One of Scotland’s brightest talents, Grant Forrest joined us for a Q&A with a difference. He let us know about his first car, the last time he threw a club and his first celebrity crush.

Drivers Test

If you want a man to test a driver, we’ve got him. Our Gear Editor and resident World Long Drive competitor James Tait took the best drivers of 2023 and put them to the test. Pick up a copy of the mag to see which one came out on top, and what model really surprised him.

New Gear

It’s not just the driver’s test in our gear section this issue. We’ve got the lowdown on Shot Scope’s new X5 watch, PXG’s first foray into the golf ball market and the verdict on the Callaway Paradym hybrid.

Competitions

We’ve got three cracking competitions in this issue. You could win a brand-new Wilson Dynapower driver, a bundle from Vice Golf, and a quality electric trolley from Golfstream. Pretty generous if we say so ourselves.

Travel

As always, we’re bringing you the best destinations to jet, or drive off to this summer. Everything from Sweden to the Balearics to Durham, we’ve got it covered.
