The second season of the LIV Golf League reaches its climax with the Team Championship in Miami.

LIV players will take on the Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral Golf Club once again on October 20-22 in a unique three-day match play and stroke play tournament boasting a huge $50million total purse.

Dustin Johnson‘s 4Aces quartet won the inaugural LIV series Team Championship last year, as the two-time major champion shared $16m with fellow American teammates Talor Gooch, Patrick Reed and Pat Perez.

The individual champion for 2023 is crowned the week before the team finale in the final regular season event at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah from October 13-15.

Teams will then be seeded 1-12 based on the final regular season team standings after the LIV Golf Jeddah tournament.

The top four teams in the standings will receive a first-round bye and automatically qualify for Saturday’s semi-final matches.

The matches for the teams seeded between 5-12 in the quarter-finals will then be decided during a press conference on Wednesday October 18 ahead of the showpiece in Miami. The highest-seeded teams in the quarter-final draw will be able to select their opponents, starting with the fifth seed.

Friday’s quarter-finals will then feature a traditional shotgun start with four head-to-head team matchups taking place concurrently, including two singles matches and one foursomes match within each competition.

The four winning teams will advance to the semi-finals on Saturday, where they will face the top four seeds, who had a bye, in another round of head-to-head matchups, competing in the same format as Friday.

Then, on Sunday, all 48 players in the LIV roster will compete in one round of stroke play, with each player’s score contributing to an overall team score.

The lowest team score among the teams who qualified for the finals will determine the LIV Golf Team Champion 2023.
