Founded in 1888, Tenby Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Wales.
The club, situated just half a mile from the medieval port of Tenby, is widely recognised as the oldest in Wales.
• The second oldest golf shop in the world
Despite being open since 1888, it’s thought that golf has actually been played over the links course well before that, with reports that the Mayor of Tenby adjourned a court order to play golf on the land in 1875.
In 1907, the course transitioned from a nine-hole course to an 18-hole course, which it remains as today.
The course itself is a links course, that is going to challenge golfers not with its length, but well-placed bunkers.
