Tiger Woods hasn’t had the worst 2016…

Tiger Woods hasn’t played for the whole of 2016 up until now – but, remarkably, seven players who started the year ranked higher than Woods have fallen more places in the world rankings than he has.

The 14-time major champion started the year in 416th place and, heading into his return at the Hero World Challenge, is now 898th – a drop of 482 places.

But there are players who have fared worse than Woods, who can climb 150 places in the world even by finishing dead last in Albany. With a win, he can rocket up to somewhere between 120th-130th.
