Three Green Jackets for sale online are not genuine says Augusta source

The Masters Green Jackets up for sale in an online auction are fake according to Augusta sources.

In an email to GOLF.com, a representative of Augusta National Golf Club pointed out a subtle difference between the real Green Jacket and the fake – the Masters logo.

“You’ll notice the jacket for auction has a replica Masters logo on the left breast,” said the email. “Green Jackets carry the Augusta National map/flag logo with no text. The auction photo also shows an unauthentic button. Green Jackets have gold buttons with the map/flag logo (also no text).”

Meanwhile, the online auction at charitybuzz.com has notably removed the jackets – with them no longer listed as an available item on the company website.
