LIV Golf Mayakoba 2024: Prize money payout in full

Joaquin Niemann defeated Sergio Garcia in a play-off that took place in near darkness as LIV Golf’s season-opener ended in drama at Mayakoba.

The Chilean birdied the 18th on the fourth hole of the sudden-death play-off to edge out Garcia and claim victory.

He had previously missed a putt to win in regulation, with both players posting pars three times in a row on the final hole at El Camaleon Golf Club before Niemann finished in style.

Niemann had opened the tournament with a sublime 59, the second sub-60 round in LIV history after Bryson DeChambeau’s miraculous 58 at Greenbrier last year.

Meanwhile, debutant Jon Rahm was bemused by a bogey bogey finish that cost him a play-off place, but his new Legion XIII team comfortably won the team event.
