The dust will barely have settled on Scottie Scheffler’s dominant Masters victory before the PGA Tour heads to Hilton Head for its next signature event.
The RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina is one of the most exciting stops on the PGA Tour calendar and will host a number of the best players in the world, given its elevated status and prize money.
Some may view it as a post-Masters hangover, but the RBC Heritage has long been a compelling event played on an exceptional course.

Last year, Matt Fitzpatrick sealed his first PGA Tour win in a thrilling playoff over Jordan Spieth and the Yorkshireman is back to defend his title after his T22 finish at Augusta National.
Scheffler’s name was still listed in the field for this event on Monday afternoon, despite flying home to Dallas after his Masters win to be reunited with his wife Meredith, with the couple imminently expecting their first child.
Rory McIlroy is back at Hilton Head after withdrawing from the event last year following his missed cut at Augusta.
He will be joined in the field by all those who contended for this year’s Masters, including Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Aberg and Max Homa.

The bunkered bet
Ludvig Aberg 14/1
Nothing seems to faze Aberg so it would be no surprise to see him back contending this week, despite the mental exhaustion that surely comes with pushing the world’s best player in your first major championship. Driving accuracy is vitally important around Hilton Head and there are few better drivers in the game right now than the Swedish phenomenon. After just 10 months as a pro, the 24-year-old is already due his second win on the PGA Tour.
