Over the last 20 years, the North East of Scotland has quietly grown in stature as a top golf destination.

A lot of that has to do with the players that it has produced, including Open champion Paul Lawrie and US Amateur winner Richie Ramsay.

However, the real stars are the golf courses. The region is blessed with an abundance of brilliant layouts both by the sea and further inland.
