Welcome to this week’s Social Eyes. It’s getting to that time of year when people start to talk about choices for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Golfers Justin Rose and Danny Willett would likely be the only golfers in with a chance of appearing on the shortlist for the main award, but that hasn’t stopped people touting Pete Cowen – coach of Willett and Henrik Stenson – for the Coach of the Year award.
It was ex-cricketer, now Pro-Am specialist, Michael Vaughan who first tweeted it.
I will say it again .. But surely @petecowengolf has to be nominated for #SPOTY coach of the year …. #NoBrainer

That was retweeted by the likes of Shane Lowry and Graeme Storm, while Paul McGinley – winner of the award for his Ryder Cup heroics in 2014 – had this to say.
Agree with this @MichaelVaughan, he most certainly should be recognised as coach to the Masters and Open Champions ,among others, this year https://t.co/yizqOpXPqv

For a time, the Secret Tour Pro (@secrettourpro) on Twitter was rumoured to be Adam Scott.
In a game with Australia team-mate Marc Leishman ahead of the World Cup of Golf, Scott was asked the question, but the answer probably wasn’t what you’d hoped.
Leishman’s answer behind him: “Yes, but he’ll deny it.” Hmmm.
BREAKING: The answer everyone wants to know …@marcleish reveals if Adam Scott is the @secrettourpro?! pic.twitter.com/YgsaWTZ8vd

Staying Down Under, Rickie Fowler and Danny Lee’s prank war intensified even more.
How? Well, before the pair boarded the flight to Melbourne, the Kiwi got Fowler stopped at security for sticking a bottle of water in his bag.
At celebrity golf events, NEVER stand in front of the competitors. At Royal Sydney, Torah Bright, an Olympic medallist in snowboarding, smacked a cameraman in the shin.
You’ve got to feel for Billy Horschel. On Monday, he should have been in the RSM Classic play-off only to miss a really short putt on Sunday night.
Instead, his Monday consisted of getting his wisdom teeth pulled out.
Wisdom teeth gone and I look like a champ! …. everything went great and can't thank Dr Woods in PV enough for doing a helluva job. pic.twitter.com/wkqQiES8Gr

Zach Johnson’s Monday was much better.
He received one of the finest looking BBQs you’ll see – which turns was a present from Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III to every member of his team at Hazeltine.
Huge thank you to @LangBBQ_Smokers and @Love3d for the beautiful smoker! Two great GA families…can't wait to fire this thing up! pic.twitter.com/zXNQ815RjI

Jimmy Walker also showed off his BBQ before jetting off to the World Cup of Golf.
