So, it all comes down to this.

After two days and four sessions of unbearable tension and exceptional golf, the Solheim Cup is evenly poised at 8-8 heading into the Sunday singles at Finca Cortesin.

This is the sixth time that the match has been level pegging going into the singles. On three of the previous five occasions, the US has come out on top. However, on the two most recent, in 2011 and 2019, it’s Europe who have taken the trophy.

Should Suzann Pettersen’s side – who trailed 0-4 after the opening session on Friday, remember – continue that streak tomorrow, they will win the Solheim Cup for a third match in a row… something no other European team has ever done.

It’s shaping up to be a thrilling finale.
