WATCH: Patrick Reed takes a tumble

When Patrick Reed signed up for the Scottish Open, we bet he didn’t have playing a shot like this in mind.

On just his second hole of the day – the par-5 second – the Ryder Cup star pulled his drive into some fescue on a hill.

Faced with an incredibly tough second shot, where he could only manage the smallest of backswings, the American somehow managed to play his way out – but took a slide on his way back to the fairway – drawing reaction from the galleries.
