Croatia has a new elite golf destination as Golf Adriatic has joined the PGA’s portfolio of European Branded Properties.

Now called PGA National Croatia, the resort is located near Savudrija, in the Umag countryside of north-western Istria.

It boasts a challenging 6,955-yard par 72 course designed by DI. Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer, recipients of the prestigious Austrian Golf Art Landscape Award.

Regarded as one of the best golf courses in the region, it is a dream round by the sea, where the wind can play a significant role.

The 18-hole championship course is characterised by its tight, bunker-guarded greens.

The immaculate, luxury accommodation features 186 rooms, suites and villas with spacious balconies and terraces.

Meanwhile, Skiper Resort on the Croatian Adriatic coast has four- and five-star apartments with stunning views.

Željko Stašević, General Manager, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to have Golf Adriatic become the PGA National Croatia, representing the highest standards in golfing excellence.
