Benross have launched their new 2024 range and if you’re looking for great performance without breaking the bank then this new range will tick a lot of boxes for you.
This is Benross’s most technically-advanced club design to date. And there’s a lot going on, including two new drivers, two new fairway woods, two new sets of irons, new wedges, and a new putter range – so there’s something for everyone. Let’s dive in, shall we?
How do they look?
You can instantly tell the Delta XT is the more premium range. The aerodynamic shaping and new sole design in the drivers and fairway woods look great, while the irons look really clean at address and has a great shape. The hollow body design has a simple clean aesthetic which looks good in the hands and in the bag.
But that’s not to say the Aero XF range doesn’t impress. The woods have a gloss finish rather than the matte of the XT, but still feature that aerodynamic crown. The sole design is simple looks great with the blue stripe through the middle.
The irons have a nice big cavity and sole, which beginners and high-handicappers often appreciate, and there’s a decent amount of offset to give you plenty of confidence over the ball. Just by looking at this iron you can tell it’s high in MOI and forgiveness.
What’s under the bonnet?
The new Delta XT range is targeted towards the mid-handicap golfer with its clean and classy design. The Benross Delta XT driver and Delta XT fairway woods feature a newly-designed aero crown and an adjustable dual COG hosel to maximise forgiveness and increased ball speeds – perfect for longer and straighter shots.
While the Delta XT irons – available from 4-SW or 5-GW through custom fitting – are a two-piece hollow body construction incorporating a thinner club face and refined profile for a clean and classy look, and a confidence-inspiring ease of use.
But that’s not all. Benross have also launched the Aero XF range in the game-improvement category.
The Aero XF driver and fairway woods are fitted with their own custom-designed speed slot to give golfers an aerodynamic advantage, as well as an added fixed rear weight port for maximum MOI to ensure ultimate forgiveness.
While the Aero XF irons are designed using 431 stainless steel which is put through an intense vacuum heat treatment process to ensure a perfect sound and feel with every shot. The irons are available in either a 5-SW or 6-GW set through custom fitting.
Wait, there’s more! To complement these new launches, Benross have also expanded their wedge and putter offerings with the new REV2.0 wedges.
The new REV2.0 wedges – available from 50 to 60 degrees – feature a soft stainless steel head finished in brushed nickel to improve your feel and touch from any lie on the course. With a tighter groove pattern across all lofts and a CNC milled face, the REV2.0 is designed to increase spin and control from both short and long range. And, for the first time, the REV2.0 wedges between from 56- to 60-degree lofts will feature a full-face groove pattern. Combine all this with a KBS Hi Rev steel shaft and Benross have created a wedge to give you more feel, more spin, and more control.
And what range wouldn’t be complete without a putter? The Tribe SRT family features four models to suit golfers of all abilities. The Tribe SRT range looks sleek and refined with a matte black-finished head to give them a premium look and feel. Contrasting with a SR Tech Milled Aluminium full-face insert and fixed weights ports, the Tribe SRT putters have all the components to give golfers the ultimate feel for optimum distance control with an increased MOI for stability.
How much will they set you back?
So just how much are we looking at? Let’s break it down…
Delta XT driver: £229
Delta XT fairway woods: £149
Delta XT irons: £499
Aero XF driver: £179
Aero XF fairway woods: £129
Aero XF irons: £369
REV2.0 wedges: £79
Tribe SRT putter: £99
If we base it on one driver, one fairway wood, a set of irons, two wedges, and a putter, you could put a full set in play for a little more than £1,000 in the Delta XT range, or just shy of that number in the Aero XF range. Who can argue with those price tags?
And how do they perform?
We like the price but do we like the performance? We’ll be getting our hands on these very soon so keep an eye on the bunkered YouTube channel for the video!
