Ryder Cup Europe has still to take the covers off its Ryder Cup teamwear but that hasn’t stopped Ralph Lauren revealing its designs for the US team ahead of the match at Hazeltine.
It says it brings ‘sleek, Americana-inspired details’ to the range with its colour palette ‘grounded in American red, white and blue’. They have even printed ‘United We Stand’ on the interior waistband of the trousers the team will wear.

Pieters hits the jackpot
Thomas Pieters knew this week was his chance to stake his claim for a Ryder Cup spot and, luckily for the Belgian, his Odyssey Lucky 777 putter was absolutely on fire as he took the Made in Denmark title.
Pieters has had the limited edition putter in the bag since last year and carded ten birdies in his first round while playing alongside European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke.
According to Odyssey’s European Tour rep Seamus Sweeney, Pieters put it in play last year at the European Masters before winning back-to-back events.
Whilst he did stop using it for a little while, it went back into his bag about a month ago, helping him to fourth place in Rio, second at the Czech Masters and now the win at the weekend.
His spec is described as ‘very standard’ with the only quirk being the grip, which is a flat front with arch back side from Odyssey’s Japan line-up.

Nike waves goodbye to The Oven
There are certain places every gear lover wants to visit. Sadly, we’re seeing one of those being destroyed.
Just weeks after Nike revealed it was stopping its production of clubs, balls and bags, it has already stripped its Oregon R&D hub ‘The Oven’ down to the bare bones.
Source close to situation in Fort Worth, TX tells me @nikegolf has stripped The Oven, its former R&D facility, bare. Nothing left in or out

That was until Scotland’s very own Jamie McLeary stepped up to the plate with this patriotic effort on his new customised Cleveland RTX-3 wedge. Very impressive skills from Cleveland’s tour team.
