It’s not often that an article of clothing causes quite the stir, but Jason Day’s Malbon vest did just that at the Masters.
The sleeveless top had turned heads before Day even wore it, as fans looked to the outfit scripting that Malbon had provided.
Throughout the week, Day’s clothing has caught the eye. Firstly, his trousers, which were certainly wider than you’d expect, were blowing in the gale that caused chaos at Augusta National. The parachute pants looked like they might even lift Day off the ground at one point, as he putted out on Augusta’s greens.
But then, on Friday, it was time for the vest to take centre-stage. The Austrlian was wearing it to complete the weather delayed first round, in the company of Tiger Woods.
We’ll let you decide whether or not you’re a fan of it.
Unfortunately for Day, someone at Augusta National was clearly not a fan, as he was asked to remove the garment before going back out for his second round.
He was pretty coy on why that happened, but there was some suggestions that the design of the top might have been in breach of PGA Tour policy.

Regardless of all that, the Malbon Championship Vest is now available for the rest of us to buy.
Two days after Jason Day wore it, the piece appeared on Malbon’s website, available for pre-order, with shipping expected in early May.
