The Costco-owned brand took social media by storm in December, and not just because it was revealed the new seven-piece range would set you back just $499, but because of their striking similarity to another product already on the market.
And it turns out the TaylorMade Golf Company thinks so too, and has filed a suit against Costco Wholesale Corp and Southern California Design Company – the company believed to be the creators of Costco’s golf clubs – for “patent infringement and false advertising”.
The suit claims the Kirkland Signature irons “copy many features and technologies from TaylorMade’s P790 irons”.

The accused products, however, do not contain an ‘injected urethan insert’.”
TaylorMade has requested a jury trial. Watch this space.
