It’s new issue day at bunkered, which is always a big deal. However, this one is just a little bit more special.
Hitting the shelves and doormats today is the 200th issue of bunkered, a pretty decent achievement if you ask us. If you’re wondering why there’s another one out so soon after issue 199, that’s because this year we’re doing ten issues rather than the previous eight. Result!
This issue is packed full of great content. Here’s a little taster of what you can expect.
Master Scheff!
We look back on last year’s Masters, where Scottie Scheffler picked up his first major victory. We’ve got exclusive insight from Adrian Rietveld, the man who fitted Scottie’s TaylorMade clubs, and Ted Scott, the man who carried his bag. Do they think he can defend his title? Absolutely.
Masters preview
Aside from a look back on Scottie’s triumph, we’ve got loads more Masters coverage to get stuck into. We take a look at the biggest storylines this year, the unbelievable story of Tommy Aaron, speak to the people behind one of our favourite Twitter accounts, Eureka Earth, look at the changes to Augusta National’s 13th hole and sit down for a chat with Monty about his trials and tribulations at the year’s first major. Your complete guide to the Masters is right here.
50 for £50
We all like a bargain. The current cost of living crisis means that for a lot of us, the prospect of forking out silly money for a round of golf is off the table. For that reason, we take a look at 50 of the best courses you can play in the UK for no more than £50.
Est. 1995

A whole lot of links
It took us a long time to type out every course that Sam and Harriet Cooper played on their epic road trip, so we can only imagine how long it took them to play them. We caught up with them during their final round at Elie, where they look back on a truly epic golf adventure. Warning: you’ll be jealous.
Putt like the pros
Alistair Kyle leads the performance centre this issue, and he’s got all the tips you need to start rolling your putts properly. As well as that, we’ve got the best stretches to help with your hip rotation, a simple way to sort your grip, and an alternative way to hit a knockdown shot.
Mind over matter
We’ve all been there. You’re on the first tee and the whole clubhouse is watching on. Suddenly you feel like you’ve never picked up a club before. Dr John Mathers, a leading Sports Psychologist who is also a top golfer, tells us how to battle first tee nerves and get those nervy shots away with ease.
First and Last
LPGA Tour star Christina Kim takes us through her Firsts and Lasts. First time she broke par? Last time she hit a 1-iron? It’s all there.
New gear
We’re all quite envious of James Tait in the bunkered office, because he gets to test out all the latest equipment that lands beside our desk. He’s got his hands on the new drivers from Mizuno and Wilson, as well as the Paradym irons from Callaway and Ping’s new hybrid.
Travel
We’ve got everything from Haddington in the Lothians to Honshu Island in Japan covered in this travel issue. We’ve got all the details on where to go in the Scottish Lothians, as well as the stunning golf of Icleand, the Costa del Sol and Gran Canaria.
