K.H. Lee is going for three in a row this week at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
The South Korean won in 2021 and 2022, with totals of 25-under-par and 26-under-par respectively. If he can continue that trend and shoot 27-under-par this year he’ll be a hard man to beat.
By the way, the last player to win the same PGA Tour event in three consecutive years? Steve Stricker at the John Deere Classic, 2009-2011. Every day is a school day, huh?

This event, named after the legendary five-time major champion, is now held in Texas over TPC Craig Ranch, a venue that’s fairly new to the rota and is clearly yielding low scores. It’s the host to an event that’s been dotted about a few courses in recent years.
Many of the field this week will have one eye on the US PGA Championship, with the second major of the year taking place the following week. This week isn’t a designated event, which gives some the opportunity for a week away from tournament play and a chance to relax ahead of Oak Hill. Scottie Scheffler, however, is set to tee it up.
AT&T has sponsored this event since 2015.
Here’s the full Byron Nelson preview.

The bunkered Bet
Scott Stallings 80/1
Scottie Scheffler is as short as 4/1 in some places, but if you want good value, look to Scott Stallings. He had a decent finish of 17-under-par here last year and seems overpriced in this field. A solid each way bet.
