The DP World Tour returns to Scotland after the Ryder Cup for one of the most unique tournaments on the golfing calendar.
Some of the finest players on the European circuit get the chance to play three of Scotland’s finest courses at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship from October 5-8.
The players will take on Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the St Andrews Old Course across the first three days, before a cut is made on Saturday night.
Those remaining will then thrash it out on the Old Course in a bid to be crowned champion and win the $800,000 first prize.
There is, of course, a distinctly different feel to this tournament. That is because each player will have an amateur, often a celebrity, for company in a separate tournament with nett scores counting in a team event.
Big names in the field at this tournament include European Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood and Bob MacIntyre.
Americans Billy Horschel and Matt Kuchar are also making the trip across the Atlantic to play on the famous links courses.
