Matt Fitzpatrick continued his excellent Ryder Cup form, winning the Dunhill Links in St Andrews. Here’s the clubs he had in the bag.

In a heavily rain delayed tournament, Fitzpatrick eventually came out on top after three rounds, getting to an impressive 19-under-par.

A superb final round of 66 would see Matt Fitzpatrick edge out last year’s defending champion Ryan Fox and fellow countrymen Marcus Armitage and Matthew Southgate all by three shots.

The tournament was dragged out over five days with only three rounds being completed due to the horrendous weather conditions over the weekend.

The play resumed over Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, and St Andrews and Matt Fitzpatrick continued where he left off from on Friday, his third round, leading from the front.

With eight birdies and two bogeys, he drove the ball exceptionally well, only finding the rough three times off the tee.

The new Ping Forged Blueprint S irons did not let Fitzpatrick down this week. His approach game was seriously impressive in his final round like it had been all week. He hit 17 out of 18 greens in regulation, converting eight of those into birdies.

It was a grandstand finish on the 18th for Fitzpatrick as he birdied the final hole on the Old Course.

Not only did he win the professional event by three shots, but with a combined score of –35, he and his mother, Susan, were victorious in the team event. Certainly a great day for the Fitzpatrick family.

Here’s the clubs Matt Fitzpatrick used to win the Dunhill Links.
