The Masters: Skechers unveil Matt Fitzpatrick’s Augusta inspired shoe

With the Masters approaching, brands are releasing their special Augusta National inspired gear. Skechers have done just that with their new Blade special edition shoe, which Matt Fitzpatrick will wear this week. 

We have seen Matt Fitzpatrick show off special edition shoes before at the major championships, but this is the first time his shoes will be available to the UK and Ireland. 

So, what makes these shoes so interesting, you ask?  

The new Skechers Blade SE shoes take inspiration from Rae’s Creek, part of the famous stretch of holes that has determined in the past who will become the Masters champion.

The inspired design is coupled with frosty green and blue colour ways of the creek and its surrounding areas. White midsoles also sit atop a golf-specific outsole made with translucent TPU, and, if you look closely, the sock liner and outsole are designed with a custom graphic made from a topographical map of the intersection of Rae’s Creek and Augusta National.  

A nice touch is the insole and the Skechers Diamond traction plate which features a custom graphic made from topographical map of Rae’s Creek and Augusta National.

The new shoe is also designed with Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins technology which features an exclusive HeelPillow. This waterproof golf shoe offers comfort, support, and stability all while holding our foot securely into place.

Additional key features include a lightweight Ecoflight cushioning made with at least 10% recycled materials, a Grip Flex spikeless TPU outsole providing superior traction and stability, and high-performance Resamax cushioning for all-day comfort. 

Skechers won’t just feature on Matt Fitzpatrick’s feet this week, he’ll also be wearing the Skechers Gori All Day Polo and Skechers UltraTapered Pant in a variety of colourways to complement his new shoe.

For the opening round, Fitzpatrick will wear the polo in black with ashley bluepants. In the second round, he has a light-yellow polo paired with bright white pants. In the third round, Fitzpatrick will wear the frosty green polo with muted cyan blue pants and in the final round, a cerulean polo with bright white bottoms. 

Keep an eye out for these outfits this week, as Fitzpatrick will certainly be turning heads.
