Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2023 prize money payout in full

Matt Fitzpatrick claimed his ninth DP World Tour title after a superb final round at the weather-shortened Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews.

It was a Monday finish well worth the wait for Fitzpatrick, who also won the Team Championship alongside his mother Susan.

The Englishman, still on a high after Europe’s Ryder Cup celebrations in Rome last week, fired a six-under par 66 on the Old course to finish on 19-under par and win by three shots.

Defending champion Ryan Fox, and Englishmen Marcus Armitage and Matthew Southgate shared second.

It was incredible that this tournament actually reached its conclusion after a washout over the weekend that left St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie all waterlogged.

But after miraculous work from the greenkeepers in Fife and Angus, each course was deemed playable on Monday morning, with the tournament reduced to 54 holes without the traditional St Andrews finish.

And overnight leader Fitzpatrick capitalised on the soft conditions with eight birdies on Monday to seal a memorable double at the Home of Golf.
