Cadence Bank Houston Open 2022: Preview, betting tips & how to watch

This week the PGA Tour is heading to Texas for the Cadence Bank Houston Open.

Traditionally attracting one of the strongest fields of the tour’s early-season schedule, this year is no different.

Masters champion Scottie Scheffler has committed, along with the likes of Sam Burns, Sahith Theegala, Hideki Matsuyama and Tony Finau.

Past winners include Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Payne Stewart, Gary Player and Arnold Palmer.

We are guaranteed to see a new champion this year as the 2021 winner, Jason Kokrak, is banned from the PGA Tour having joined LIV Golf.

Uusually for a PGA Tour event, the tournament is not held at a country club. Instead, it is hosted at Memorial Park, which is the top-ranked municipal track in Texas.

Cadence Bank has come on board as a new title sponsor for this year, taking over from Hewlett Packard.
