The DP World Tour has added two more events to its 2023 calendar.

The Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters – mainstays of previous years’ schedules – will take place in consecutive weeks in October.

Both will count towards the Race to Dubai standings and will have prize funds of $3.25million.

The Andalucia Masters moves to a new venue at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande for the ninth edition of the event. It takes place from October 19-22, a week after the acciona Open de Espana presented by Madrid (October 12-15) at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

First staged in 2010, major doubt was cast over the future of the Andalucia Masters after host venue Valderrama signed a five-year deal with the LIV Golf League, ending its long association with the DP World Tour.

Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is only three miles from the 1997 Ryder Cup host venue and has some championship pedigree, having staged Final Qualifying for the then European Tour between 1998 and 2001.

The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, meanwhile, returns to Doha Golf Club from October 26-29 for the tournament’s 26th edition.

Instantly identifiable by its iconic ‘Mother of Pearl’ trophy, the event was staged most recently in March 2022 where Scotland’s Ewen Ferguson won his maiden DP World Tour title. Other notable former champions include Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott, Ernie Els and Henrik Stenson.

It will be the last ‘regular’ event of the 2023 season, offering players the final opportunity to secure their DP World Tour cards for the 2024 season via their Race to Dubai ranking, as well as the chance to qualify for the Nedbank Golf Challenge Hosted by Gary Player from November 9-12.

The 2023 season will then conclude with the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, at Jumeirah Golf Estates, from November 16-19, which will feature the leading 50 available players on the Race to Dubai.
