This Pebble Beach mansion needs to be seen to be believed (and it could be yours!)

Ever fancied living in Pebble Beach? Have a cool $31 million to spare? If the answer to both of these questions is ‘yes’, then you need to check out this home that’s up for sale.

You’ve probably seen it on TV from when the cameras are in town for a tournament at the famous golf links, as it’s nestled in a two-acre plot behind the 11th green and 12th tee, and owner Cary Patterson is ready to let someone else move into this idyllic location.

A quick Google suggests Patterson – a lawyer best known for winning an $18 billion civil case for the state of Texas against the tobacco industry in 1998 – bought the 7,700-square-foot property for a little more than $9 million a year after that ground-breaking case.

He even named the house, which is located at 3422 17 Mile Drive, ‘Lucky Strike’ as a nice little nod to that legal victory.

According to the listing from Carmel Realty, the five-bed, five-bath property also features a movie theatre, an executive office, and a self-contained guest house.

So if you fancy having Jim Nantz as a neighbour, or being to simply sit on your patio and watch the world’s best each year at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and eight-time major championship venue, then you best start saving.
