It’s not Ryder Cup week until the players and their partners get glammed up for a fancy photo-call.

All 24 of the men who will do battle for the famous gold trophy at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club took to the streets of Rome with their better halves, captains and vice-captains last night for a swanky picture session.

In front of a huge crowd, the teams paraded down the city’s ancient Spanish Steps, a centuries-old landmark that connects Piazza di Spagna and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, with the Trinità dei Monti church waiting at the top.

They then made their way to a private dinner at La Lantera, with a the bigger Gala Dinner taking place at Terme di Caracalla.
