A traditional look is beginning to build at the Ryder Cup, so who makes Team Europe’s clothes?

Since 2016, luxury brand Loro Piana has been the official supplier of the European squad at the biennial match.

The Italian Masion kit out Team Europe’s athletes and their entourages at the prestigious event, with a collection of classic, sleek looks.

Founded in 1924, Loro Piana claims to be the largest cashmere manufacturer in the world, creating six course ready looks for the Ryder Cup.

The luxury label, owned by French multinational holding and conglomerate LVMH, provides on and off-course uniforms for Europe.

Every two years, the clothing will be on display, as Team Europe battle it out against Team USA in golf’s biggest team event.

The fitting collaboration will be a home game for the Milan-based company in 2023, as the Ryder Cup is played in Italy for the first time.

Loro Piana’s outfits include a short-sleeved polo with a shirt-style collar, a high-neck shirt with a zipper, a waterproof vest, and four-pocket trousers.

The clothing firm will also support the European team at the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup, to be held from September 26-28.

Ryder Cup director Guy Kinnings said: “Loro Piana’s iconic outfits have become synonymous with Team Europe, and we are delighted that Captain Luke Donald’s team will become the fourth successive group of players to don these exceptional products.”

Team Europe has displayed the traditional looks on three previous occasions and began the partnership at Hazeltine in 2016.

The 2018 Ryder Cup in France was the first time Team Europe wore the kit on home soil, and the partnership remained intact for the 2021 event at Whistling Straits.

Luke Donald, 2023 Team Europe captain, said: “The quality of Loro Piana’s fabrics coupled with their specialist design and production knowledge have made them the ideal clothing partner for Team Europe.”

Several Team Europe uniform options are available to purchase at the Ryder Cup, with prices ranging from $520 to $3,450.
