Scottish Golf Tourism Awards to make Highland Debut

The prestigious Scottish Golf Tourism Awards in association with Luxe Scot will take place on Thursday 21 March 2024 at the five-star National Trust for Scotland’s Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre in Inverness.

Now in its 11th edition, the awards exist to celebrate the outstanding achievements within the Scottish golf tourism industry by recognising the finest courses, hotels and experiences that have helped shape Scotland’s reputation as a world-class golfing destination.

Created with VisitScotland in partnership with DC Thomson and The Press and Journal, the awards will welcome over 350 leading professionals from the Scottish golf tourism industry and over 90 tour operators from around the world.

The awards take place at the end of Scottish Golf Tourism Week which takes place annually and helps to connect businesses in the Home of Golf with the world.

With tour operators from more than 20 countries set to attend alongside 100 of Scotland’s finest suppliers, Scottish Golf Tourism Week provides the opportunity for Scottish golf tourism businesses to present their offerings to a global audience.

Scottish Golf Tourism Week plays a significant role in increasing the revenue and awareness of Scottish golf tourism businesses across the country.

An economic impact report prepared for VisitScotland and Scottish Development International in April 2022 found that suppliers who attend Scottish Golf Tourism Week forecast an average increase in turnover of over £215,000 across the following three years as a direct result of the new connections they build at the event.

It is further estimated that the tour operators in attendance bring approximately 50,000 golf tourists into Scotland every year.
