Welcome to this week’s Social Eyes. We’ll start with the Spanish Open at Valderrama, which threw up a load of talking points.
First of all, did host Sergio Garcia use the tournament to go public with a new girlfriend, Golf Channel presenter Angela Akins?

Akins is one of only 18 accounts that Garcia follows on Twitter, and she responded with this. Cute.
Congrats on a great week, @TheSergioGarcia! Proud of you! https://t.co/fq0BQ7D3T6

Does this mean his Wikipedia page can be updated now?
While Garcia took centre stage en route to his third-placed finish, he had a very famous fan watching on from the galleries. None other than the world’s most expensive footballer, Gareth Bale.
So happy about how well the Valderrama Spanish Open hosted by my foundation went! Thanks @GarethBale11 for visiting! pic.twitter.com/h3SzRQFLHa

Valderrama was brutally tough for scoring last week, with Andrew Johnston winning on one-over-par, and players were keen to point that out on Twitter.

Thomas Bjorn was a new addition to Twitter this week – although he was quickly shot down by the third most followed golfer on the social media platform, Ian Poulter.
Right, time to give this Twitter lark a go! Wish me luck! @EuropeanTour pic.twitter.com/i9ZMQxdw9p

Moving away from all things Valderrama, if you have Snapchat, make sure you add Rickie Fowler (RickieFowler15), as the American has been posting snaps from his Bahamas getaway with fellow pros Jordan Spieth, Smylie Kaufman and Justin Thomas.
PGA Tour golfers have it good, don’t they? Although we’re not so sure about the shorts, Jordan.
Down to more serious business, well, maybe not. Bubba Watson is playing this week at the Shenzhen International – the perfect spot for some Night Golf with new best friends Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Haotong Li.

And finally…
Edoardo Molinari’s dog is just the coolest. Check out Toto in wearing the 2010 Ryder Cup star’s TaylorMade cap.
