The waiting is almost over.
The 18th edition of the Solheim Cup is here and seldom has there been more anticipation for the duel between Europe and the United States.

• Lewis: Big opportunity missed with Ryder Cup
Suzann Pettersen’s team is being described as one of the greatest Team Europe has ever assembled.
No pressure, then, for the likes of Celine Boutier, Charley Hull and Leona Maguire, the European stars who will be tasked with spearheading their side to victory in southern Spain.
The US team captained by Stacy Lewis, meanwhile, is out for revenge. The Americans have not had their hands on the trophy since 2017 in Iowa and also have a team stacked with major champions and world-class stars.
It promises to be another epic transatlantic tussle, and here’s a full breakdown of the schedule so you don’t miss any of the drama on day one.
