The PGA Tour kicks off 2024 with a limited field in Maui, as the Sentry sees 59 of the best in the world go head-to-head.

All PGA Tour winners in 2023 and the top 50 finishers in the FedEx Cup earned a ticket to Kapalua for the first Signature Event, worth $20 million.

It is the first of 36 regular season events in 2024 and marks the start of Opening Drive, a two-week Hawaiian swing.

Next week’s Sony Open will bring it to a close, as most PGA Tour pros get their season underway.

There are 700 FedEx Cup points up for grabs this week, though, so the chance to get the new year off to a flyer has never looked so good.

LIV golfer Jon Rahm provided the entertainment last year, as the Spaniard recovered from a six-shot deficit to oust Collin Morikawa, going six-under for his final seven holes.

Rahm’s move to the Saudi-backed circuit means he won’t have the chance to defend his title, while 12 first-time winners enter the fray.

The bunkered Bet

Patrick Cantlay 14/1

With Ryder Cup and LIV drama left behind in 2023, Cantlay will want to get off to a quick start in 2024. An elite tee-to-green player, Cantlay has played here five times and logged two fourth place finishes. It’s only a matter of time before he puts it all together and lifts a deserved title.
