Tiger Woods reveals Justin Timberlake collab

As first reported by Golf.com, the 15-time major champion has today announced that he and music megastar Justin Timberlake are opening a brand-new sports bar and indoor golf experience in New York City.

The T-Squared Social Club – Tiger x Timberlake, if you hadn’t already guessed – is opening in Manhattan close to the city’s Grand Central Station.

Formerly an Emigrant Savings Bank branch, T-Squared will span an entire city block and include no fewer than four Full Swing golf simulators, as well as a duckpin bowling alleys, dart boards and more. 

It is also going to home to the Big Apple’s biggest indoor television, a 200-inch screen that can be split into four or, if the mood takes you, kept as one screen for one big event.

“Justin and I thought it would be cool to create a place that combines our favourite things,” said Woods.

This isn’t the first time the unlikely duo have collaborated on a golf project. 

In April this year, they detailed plans to build a 600-acre luxury residential club community in Wellington, Florida.

In addition to the acquired Cypress Golf Course, an 18-hole track designed by the late Pete Dye, plans for The Wellington also include a world-class racquet centre with a pro shop, a stadium tennis court, 12 additional tennis courts, 10 padel courts, and 12 pickleball courts.

Woods is currently rehabbing after undergoing a subtalar fusion in the spring. His most recent competitive appearance was The Masters where he withdrew ahead of the final round. 

There is no timetable for his return to golf but hopes that he might be on the mend were raised when he was filmed on the golf course watching his son Charlie last month.
