LIV Golf appear to have signed another European Ryder Cup hero ahead of the start of its third season.
The Telegraph are reporting that Tyrrell Hatton has agreed to join the Saudi-backed circuit in a £50million deal and is set to be unveiled before the season opener starting in Mayakoba, Mexico on Friday.
It is understood that the 32-year-old Englishman will join Jon Rahm’s new team after forming a successful partnership with the Spaniard during the Ryder Cup win in Rome.
Hatton had committed to playing in the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach, a signature event on the PGA Tour this week.
But the world No.16 is now set to withdraw from that tournament in California and instead tee it up at El Camaleon Golf Club, where he will make his debut for the Greg-Norman fronted LIV league.

Hatton’s move, like Rahm’s, puts his Ryder Cup future into doubt ahead of next year’s match at Bethpage Black.
While both are set to retain their DP World Tour membership, the punishments for competing in LIV events make it almost impossible to play the minimum of four events to qualify for selection.
Speculation has been rife over Hatton’s potential defection and he did little to quash any rumours during the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, where he revealed he had been in discussions with LIV.
“I’d say there’s several people who have had conversations,” he said. “I think that’s part and parcel of golf at the moment, but I’m quite happy playing the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.”
Pressed on whether he was staying put on golf’s traditional tours at that stage, Hatton added: “As of right now, yeah.”
Meanwhile, the world No.39 Adrian Meronk is also set to join LIV and it is anticipated that the Pole will compete for Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC team.
Meronk, 31, was voted the 2023 DP World Tour ‘Player of the Year’ by his fellow players, but was overlooked for Ryder Cup selection last year and will likely become the third major LIV signing of its post-season.
