Tiger Woods may be arguably the best golfer ever – but his daughter is also becoming a recognisable figure in the world of golf.
Sam Alexis Woods is the 15-time major winner’s oldest child and was born in 2007. Her mother is Tiger’s ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
Her name is a nod to her famous father, who was referred to as Sam by his father Earl as a child.

She regularly attends her dad’s events along with her younger brother Charlie and her father’s partner Erica Herman.
The 15-year-old also won praise after she gave an emotional speech when Tiger was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, which she began by joking about his loss to Angel Cabrera at the 2007 US Open.
“My dad found himself in a position to make an 18-foot putt to force a US Open playoff, which he missed by a foot,” she said.
“He then had to rush to the airport, fly from Pittsburgh to Orlando, and drive to the Winnie Palmer Hospital. Within five minutes of walking into the hospital room, still wearing his red golf shirt, on June 18, I was born. He may have lost that day, but he won the greatest gift of all.”
She also praised her dad’s recovery from his near-fatal car crash in 2021.
“We didn’t know if you’d come home with two legs or not,” she said.
“Now not only are you about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you’re standing here on your own two feet.
“This is why you deserve this, because you’re a fighter.”
