A little bit of elbow grease

Dead simple, clean your clubs.

I’m willing to bet that in the past ten weeks the vast majority of you haven’t even considered undertaking this essential chore, with the grooves of your clubs chock full of mud and sand.

Let’s face it, hardly any golfers bother cleaning their clubs on a regular basis, lockdown or not, but it is vitally important if you want to play your best.

Having those grooves nice and clean won’t only help you get some much need spin around the firm greens but can also avoid any unwanted flyers with your irons and wedges. Plus, it’ll simply mean your clubs look relatively shiny and new for their first venture out in a while.

So, grab a bucket of water, a towel and some tees to scrape that old mud away.
