Gleneagles are offering golfers looking to keep the clubs swinging this winter with a special offer to celebrate the Solheim Cup.
If you’re looking for somewhere special to play this winter, look no further than Gleneagles. The world-renowned resort’s three courses are kept in the finest condition throughout the colder months and there are some fantastic deals to take advantage of across the year’s shoulder months.
Gleneagles played host to the 2018 European Golf Team Championships and, of course, the fantastic 2019 Solheim Cup which saw Europe claim victory.
• Flush it! A simple drill to improve your iron-play
The King’s Course is arguably held in the highest regard out of the three, offering a round that is fantastic fun while testing every facet of your game. The legendary James Braid designed the layout and, no matter where you look, you’re greeted by stunning views across the Perthshire glens. On this course, good course management is key to scoring well.
• New championship course proposed at exclusive Scottish club
While The Queen’s Course is known as the little sister of the bigger King’s, that doesn’t mean it is any less enjoyable to play.
A particular favourite amongst members, The Queen’s is packed full of natural beauty and has welcomed numerous top golfers such as Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Tom Watson and Lee Trevino over the years.
Its design winds its way through stunning woodland and the high
ridges of the estate. While the first nine holes may appear short at
less than 3,000 yards, it’s anything but easy. Par is a good score on
all of the holes and even the likes of Norman and Ballesteros have found
the going tough.
• Historic Scottish club votes to approve women members
The newest course on the estate is The PGA Centenary. The renowned
host venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup and 2019 Solheim Cup, it was designed
by Jack Nicklaus who described it as ‘the finest parcel of land in the
world I have ever been given to work with’.
• Experience winter golf at Tulliallan
With five tees situated on each hole, the challenge can be tailored
to the ability of your group, ensuring the course is fantastic fun no
matter the handicap of the player.
The Offer
In celebration of the resort’s hosting of the 2019 Solheim Cup, enjoy a 4-ball for only £201.90.
