They’re the No.1 shoe in golf for a reason. FootJoy make quality shoes and no matter what you’re looking for in a golf shoe, you’re going to find it with FJ. For that reason, we've picked the best FootJoy golf shoes that you can buy in 2024.
If you’re looking to buy a pair of FootJoy golf shoes, there is so much option that it can be hard to know where to start.
Whether you’re looking for more traction, maximum comfort, great style or a bit of everything, then you can find it in FootJoy’s 2024 range.
Here’s what you should be looking for when it comes to FootJoy’s current range.

PROS
- The looks will appeal to a younger audience
- Spikeless design features a power-stabiliser outsole for good stability
- Could definitely wear these away from the golf course
CONS
- You'll get more traction from other FootJoy models
To start us off, we have the FootJoy Fuel. Now, you might not immediately think of the Fuel model when you consider FootJoy golf shoes, but the Fuel is well worthy of being in your thoughts.
This is a sporty looking golf shoe, that you might mistake for a running trainer. But, these are very much golf shoes that will perform well on the course. They feature a power-stabiliser outsole, which with tour-proven technology, will keep your feet well planted on the course. There is also the stability bridge, which does exactly what you would expect it to do, keeping your feet where they should be throughout the swing. These might be spikeless, but they do give solid traction on the course.
These are far from traditional golf shoes, and they might not appeal to everyone, but if you want something that looks the part and performs well too, these could be for you.

PROS
- Made for the modern athlete, with thermoplastic saddle helping these perform well
- Options for Carbon and BOA mean there's something for everyone
- Spiked design combines modern looks with top performance
CONS
- Some will prefer a more traditional look
Next up, we have a golf shoe that we see plenty of tour players wearing. The FJ Hyperflex comes in laced, BOA and Carbon models. While we’ll focus on the standard laced version, there is something for everyone here.
FootJoy say these are tuned for the modern athlete and when you take a look at the technology inside them, it’s clear to see what they mean. In these shoes is an integrated thermoplastic saddle, which essentially helps to deliver maximum energy transfer throughout your golf swing. The more energy you can create, the faster you can swing the club. As well as that, you’ll find StratoFoam, which is key for making these exceptionally comfortable on the fairways. As you’ll see, these also feature ankle padding, which not only makes these comfortable, but also easy to slip on and off.
Overall, these are brilliant and there’s a good reason that the likes of Cameron Young and Bryson DeChambeau wear them on the course. They look the part and can help your game, what more could you want?

PROS
- The iconic looks of these are enough to buy them alone, especially the latest style
- High quality leather construction makes for a long lifespan
- Incredible stability with all Premiere Series models in 2024 featuring spikes
CONS
- If you want trainer-like comfort, look elsewhere
If you ask someone to draw a FootJoy shoe, there’s a good chance that they’ll come up with a FootJoy Premiere Series. There are plenty of special editions of this shoe, but we’re going to talk about the most recent iteration, the Field LX.
Well, we'll get to that in a moment. We need to tip our hats to FootJoy for their Open Championship special edition version of these shoes. The FootJoy x Harris Tweed Premiere Series are a stunning addition to the range from FJ.
As premium golf shoes go, you don’t get any more premium than these. In 2024, you’ll only find these in spiked models. In our eyes that’s a positive, as it the SoftSpikes only add grip to a line of shoes that sets the standard for premium golf footwear. The leather on these shoes is designed to last forever, while the VersaTrax+ Outsole will ensure you’ve got great levels of grip underfoot. Inside, there is an OrthoLite EcoPlush FitBed, which ensures these provide comfort for long days on the golf course.
If you’re looking at these shoes then chances are, you want something that is traditional in looks, while being a top performer on the course. You won’t be disappointed with these.

PROS
- Spikeless design that still provides exceptional stability
- Out of the box comfort thanks to the moulded X25 inserts
- The Carbon option is extremely stable, especially around the ankle and heel
CONS
- Not everyone will love the new look, but we think it's great
Before 2024, the Pro/SLX was FootJoy’s most bought golf shoe. So, it’s a bit of a risk for them to completely revamp the design of them. In our eyes, they’ve only improved this line of shoes. FootJoy say these shoes are designed for traction, comfort and stability on the course, and they certainly deliver.
These are a spikeless model, which offer a very techy look from FootJoy. Unsurprisingly, that’s because they are full of tech, all of which is designed to give you the best comfort and performance on the course possible. On the bottom of these shoes, you’ll find the Pwr Trax System, which will ensure great stability through shots. As well as that, there’s the Race Track Outsole, which will work throughout the swing to transfer energy to the right places. There’s also the 3d X-Wing, which along with the heel stabiliser, gives amazing stability. When it comes to comfort, it’s hard to beat these from FootJoy. The insoles are very comfortable, with the moulded X25 inserts giving immediate step-in comfort.
We’ve tested these extensively, and I know that when I’m playing competitively, I’m going to wear these shoes in 2024. They do exactly what they promise, providing traction, comfort and stability on the course.

PROS
- Iconic FootJoy looks with new styles
- Lightweight design along with padded sole helps to give out of the box comfort
- Low profile helps with feeling the ground underfoot
CONS
- The Premiere Series is a more classic FootJoy look
A popular model, as these provide lightweight comfort, while maintaining that classic FootJoy look. Not only do they look great, but the leather construction of these shoes helps to give them great quality.
The FootJoy Traditions shoes come with a full grain leather construction, which is similar to the Premiere Series. However, these are more lightweight than those, which makes them very comfortable. The super-cushioned foam underfoot will provide all-day comfort, making these great for someone who plays a lot of golf. From a performance standpoint, these feature the VersaTrax outsole, so you can be sure you’ll get solid traction.
Overall, we really like these as a summer option from FootJoy, as they’re affordable, look the part and are comfortable on the course.

PROS
- Did we mention these are comfortable? Because they are
- Athletic styling which looks great with coloured sole
- The outsole is designed to offer traction underfoot
CONS
- Other shoes will give more stability, but these still perform well on that front
Last but not least, it’s a new style from FootJoy from 2024 that promises to be their most comfortable golf shoe ever. We can safely say it delivers on that promise.
The FootJoy Quantum is a spikeless golf shoe, that on first glance doesn’t stand out as being a classic FootJoy offering. But, once you get them on your feet, you can really tell what FJ has done with these. We love the splash of colour that you find on the bottom of these, which compliments the plain upper. The sofFOAM technology really provides all-day comfort while at the golf course, with cushioning keeping your feet fresh all day. The ortholite impressions fitbed insoles also aid in providing amazing comfort.
We love these shoes from FootJoy, which deliver cloud like comfort. If that’s what you look for in a golf shoe, these are for you.
