Having your club crest or name on your golf gear always fills club golfers with a sense of pride and renowned Scottish clothing brand, Glenmuir, has announced its intentions to improve the speed and efficiency of its bespoke embroidery service.

Phase one of the two-stage investment programme has already been completed, with phase two of the process to invest in cutting edge embroidery software and machinery being initiated next month.

The investment comes at a brilliant time for the brand, which is preparing for the 2014 Ryder Cup taking place on home soil in Gleneagles, where Team Europe will compete wearing Glenmuir shirts and sweaters.

“Every stage of the embroidery process is handled from our Lanark headquarters here in Scotland, from artwork design and embroidering, to hand finishing and pressing, through to final delivery. This allows us to have total quality control.” – Jim Reid, Glenmuir‘s operations manager

Jim Reid, Glenmuir’s operations manager, explained: “The investment in the latest embroidery software and cutting edge new machines has provided us with more flexibility and efficiency which has reduced lead times to days rather than our normal two week lead time for embroidered products.

“Every stage of the embroidery process is handled from our Lanark headquarters here in Scotland, from artwork design and embroidering, to hand finishing and pressing, through to final delivery. This allows us to have total quality control, creating perfect logo or crest replication and positioning ensuring that our customer’s bespoke product will be everything they expect and more.

“We are looking forward to embark on phase two of our embroidery investment programme to further improve our service to our customers.”

Glenmuir’s customer service manager, Douglas Bryson, added: “Our service and shortening the length of our lead times to our customers is a real priority and are of utmost importance to us and we have implemented a number of initiatives to ensure our market leading service is maintained and improved. The unique qualities and superior standards of Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland’s bespoke in-house embroidery programme combined with our comprehensive stock service have made us the trusted No.1 choice for club, corporate and event merchandise.”
