Matt Fitzpatrick is known for his methodical approach to playing golf, but what clubs does the former US Open champion use?

Fitzpatrick is well known to record data from every single shot that he hits on the course, a method that has served him well and helped him remain in the top ten of the official world golf rankings for an extended period.

The Englishman is a free agent in terms of equipment and that allows him to play the clubs best suited to him, whether or not they are the most up to date on the market.

What’s in Matt Fitzpatrick’s bag?

At the top of the bag, Fitzpatrick has a Titleist driver, but it’s not the most up to date version. Currently, he has a Titleist TSi3 driver in the bag. That’s been there since the middle of 2020, so it’s clearly a club that Fitzpatrick trusts.

Most recently, at the Genesis Invitational, Fitzpatrick had a prototype 3-wood in the bag. To the naked eye, this looks very much like a Cobra Darkspeed, which would make sense, as he’s used a Cobra Aerojet fairway wood in the past.

He does have a more up to date model in his hybrid, with a Titleist TSR2 bridging the gap between his woods and irons.

Those irons are new in the bag, replacing the Ping S55 set that had been in his bag for over a decade. In 2024, he’s started to use the Ping Blueprint S irons from 5-iron to pitching wedge. In his 4-iron, the 2022 US Open champion has the Ping i210, something which offers a little more forgiveness than the Blueprint irons.

He goes back to the Titleist Vokey range in his wedges, with a trusty Bettinardi model taking up the final spot.

Fitzpatrick will be hoping to add to his US Open championship from 2022 with a Green Jacket in 2024. A few weeks before the Masters, Fitzpatrick made a rather unusual gear switch, as the 29-year-old found a four-gram swing weight in his driver. With that removed he says he’s driving the ball better. Could that be crucial to his chances at the Masters? Here are the clubs we’re expecting him to use at Augusta National.
