Innovative rangefinders presented at PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando

SkyCaddie has unveiled their newest collection of rangefinders at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, announcing there is now a “SkyCaddie for everyone”.

Introducing its ‘Sport Series’ of rangefinders, the brand now covers the GPS market from entry-level up to the ultimate golf GPS rangefinder, the wireless SkyCaddie SGXw.

All ‘Sport Series’ SkyCaddies – which include the new SkyCaddie Aire, SkyCaddie Voice, SkyCaddie Gimme and SkyCaddie Watch – contain 30,000 global golf course maps with hundreds updated each year by the manufacturer’s experts.

“The Sport Series is for golfers who want more simplicity, without compromising on the unquestionable accuracy and reliability which comes with all SkyCaddies. With a range of prices starting at just £129, now there truly is a SkyCaddie for everyone” said Jacqui Surman, SkyCaddie’s Managing Director UK.

Ready to use straight from the box, they are pre-loaded with SkyCaddie’s ‘Par’ Membership that gives front, middle and back distance information for all global SkyCaddie maps, including over 99% of golf courses in Great Britain and Ireland.

Those who purchase one of the higher specification  ‘Tour Series’ GPS handsets – the Breeze, the SGX and the wireless SGXw – receive the company’s ‘Birdie’ membership already pre-loaded at no extra cost. In addition to the front, middle and back distance information for all global SkyCaddie maps given with the ‘Par’ membership. ‘Birdie’ allows golfers access to all full-featured courses in Great Britain and Ireland.

Surman added, “There are competitive golfers at all skill levels across Great Britain and Ireland who insist on every advantage, who want to win every match and demand the very best. For these golfers, we have golf’s No.1-rated and most trusted rangefinders with out advanced Tour Series models.”

The newest addition to the series is the SkyCaddie Watch, which makes its debut in the UK in March 2013. Attractive, lightweight, comfortable and versatile it provides golf distance accuracy that pushes the boundaries in the golf GPS watch category.

With course recognition software there is no messing about on the first tee and automatic distance updating means you find out distances quickly and effectively on the fairways. Not content with use on the golf course, it has multi-sport versatility for running, cycling and walking with an odometer, calorie counter and stopwatch.

“When compared to any other rangefinder brand in golf, the SkyCaddie Sport Series will deliver overall better performance due to the significantly more reliable TrueGround Maps, available only from SkyCaddie.” Surman continued. “Our maps do not contain the errors known to be inherent in competitive devices.”
